HISTORY

Welcome to THE Kirjathjearim Lodge No. 104, a venerable institution with roots dating back to the late 1800s. Our illustrious journey began with the leadership of the first Worshipful Master, GH Shaffer, whose tenure was documented in 1881. With a legacy spanning 141 years, THE Kirjathjearim Lodge has been an enduring presence in Nashville, cultivating a tradition of excellence and leadership.

From its inception, our lodge has been graced by the presence of distinguished men who have left an indelible mark on the Nashville community. We take pride in our historical role as a cornerstone in the civil rights movement, contributing significantly to society's progress and positive transformation.

In its early years, THE Kirjathjearim Lodge became a haven for the best and brightest minds in the Nashville area. Our membership included judges, doctors, lawyers, and community leaders who, united by Masonic principles, sought to elevate themselves and contribute to bettering the world around them.

Today, as we continue our Masonic journey, we honor the legacy of those who came before us. THE Kirjathjearim Lodge remains committed to fostering brotherhood, moral uprightness, and community service. Our lodge meetings provide a platform for fellowship, education, and the perpetuation of Masonic teachings.

We invite you to explore our website, attend our events, and consider becoming a part of our historic Masonic family. Join us as we uphold the values that have defined THE Kirjathjearim Lodge No. 104 for over a century, and contribute to a tradition of excellence that extends far beyond our lodge walls.
